  1. I have a DVD player which will play mp3 CDs, and DIVX DVDs. But it will not play a DVD with only mp3s on it.

Could I create a DIVX DVD with only mp3 files on it (and maybe a black screen for the video) so that I can have many more music files on each disc?

I tried a couple of the programs here and always got stuck on the first step which generally requires a video file. I even tried just inputting a black jpeg at this step but failed. Is there anything I could use to do this simply please?

    Cheers,
    Neil

You wont find any simply to solution to convert several mp3s with black video to a DivX DVD.

Are you sure it doesn't support mp3s on DVD? Maybe you just must make a data DVD burned in correct mode(ISO9660) and no sessions. Use for example imgburn.

Shows how to mux a long black (or any) video with an existing audio file while keeping the length of whichever is shortest.

Though I agree with Baldrick, you probably just have an issue with the file system on the DVD and don't need to do this.

  4. Yes the reason i am asking here is because although a simple data cd works perfectly a data dvd with the same mp3s did not play. I did not understand why. It is an old player though (denon 1930) maybe that is it. Thanks anyway. Neil.
