  1. I am looking at running a single media player but for this particular application it's supposed to feed a total 16 different screens running approximately 50' in total from the first screen to the last screen.
My question is this... Am I able to run a 8 port HDMI splitter and then run another splitter from one of those ports to create enough ports to feed all the screens? Also is there a signal strength issue if I run in more then 50'? Please advise. Thank you.

No idea. But then you would not need a 50' run of cable to connect all the TV's if you carefully lay out the spliiters and the source media player.

But you would need more than two splitters. Think about it..

  3. Yes I realize I'd need at least one small splitter that would run out from the center to two other splitters with 8 ports each and longer cables to each one of those splitters. I'd like to know if this is doable.

Try Monoprice. They have powered HDMI splitters and a good selection of HDMI cables, some 50 footers or more that work well.
I'm using one of their 50ft HDMI cables with no problems. You would definitely need powered splitters.
Since it is a digital signal, you should be able to feed the signal into from one splitter to the next with no loss.
But HDMI HDPC (Digital Rights Management) could possibly cause problems.
I use a Powered 1X2 HDMI splitter to get the signal to my monitor and to my video projector. (That's the 50 HDMI cable.)
