Hi, I'm looking how to fix a problem with some mp4 files generated from a Teradek Cube encoder on a local NAS: if the encoder is shutted down without stopping the streaming the mp4 file gets corrupted and can't played anymore.
I tried some free program that asserts it can repair this type of files but with no success.
Has anyone an idea on how to repair this type of corrupted mp4 files?
I can send an example (3Mb) of corrupted files if can help.
    thanks

Have you tried video repair tool? Choose your broken mp4 and working mp4 from same encoder.

It's not free though. But you can use the trial mode to see if it's repairable.

You can also try https://www.videohelp.com/tools/recover-mp4-to-h264 if it's h264 video.

Sadly I tried "video repair tool" but it asserts that here is nothing to repair.
I've just tried "recover_mp4_to_h264" but in Step2 it creates a not viewable 1KB file from a 3Mb damaged video source... no luck...
    some other hint?
    thanks!

Nope. It doesn't look good if neither of those finds anything.

  5. Can you post an example of the file if you still have it, to see if it can be recovered?
