So being the "tech" guy of the family, I was entrusted in finding a new camcorder for my brother. I settled on the Canon R606 because it had an insane deal on at the time and since his girlfriend also uses Canon DSLR, he instantly wanted it... yeah pretty sad I know. :P
The problem we have, well not really a problem is the charging time. It's 5 hours 35 minutes (apparently) for 3 hours use. That's pretty bad I think. Canon say that using the CG-700 Battery Charger will drastically reduce the charging time: http://support-hk.canon-asia.com/contents/HK/EN/8202502100.html
The problem I have is that the price they want for a battery charger is pretty insane. The charger is half the price of the camera...
Trying to look for third party replacements at a reasonable cost for both the charger and additional BP-718/BP-727 batteries. Preferably available in the UK to buy to avoid import costs etc.
A YouTube review said the Kapaxen batteries are insane since they have that chip inside them, but they seem to only be US based. Like I don't mind paying a tad extra if Kapaxen really is the best but I'd like to see what others think about it.
