Hi everyone, I am a newbie. My mom has been documenting every milestone since we were small. The thing is most of the vids are either in VHS or Beta Max (Yeah, I am that old now). I would want it to be transferred to a DVD just to have it more secured, I guess. So, I signed up here thinking I might be able to do it myself. Otherwise, I need somebody to help me out.Thanks big time.

Do you have beta / vhs equipment that can playback the video ?

Current computer configuration ... make / model ... or cpu and operating system

If you can provide these details it should make it easier to recommend equipment needed to safeguard those recorded memories.
