Hello all. It's been years since I've played around with Nero or anything. I've forgotten most of what I've learned. I'm a newbie again, but was never much beyond newbie level.
I am often embedding YouTube videos into my blog (WordPress). The upside is that it's super easy. The downside is that one day the vid's there and the next day it isn't. Sometimes I don't need 90% of the video I want to use. Therefore, I want to clip it. I'm still figuring out how to do that, but I think I've got it. The problem is the .nvc extension.
Is there something, free or paid, that will convert those files to something else? Does the latest 'paid' Nero screw you with proprietary features? (I'm using 7 right now and it's all I really need.) I have no problem buying it, but I fear that I may not even recognize it now. And I expect that I won't even need most of what the product offers. But I'm not sure and I find the website too much of a challenge when it comes to simply learning what Nero's products consist of. Or is there something else I can buy that's simple (I'm not doing home networking and other glorious, complex things) to use and will allow me to easily edit YouTube vids?

Shouldn't the thread title be Convert Nero NVC files? I thought you had youtube problems...
Nope. I have not seen anything that convert those. Do they even contain all the video? Or not just project files.Last edited by Baldrick; 17th Mar 2015 at 02:44.

I don't claim to be a perfect 'title' picker.
I don't understand your question. I'd be happy to know (from anyone) whether there is a program that can both capture and edit YouTube videos, safely. I have found an editor or two, but when I downloaded and installed it, I experienced grief. Forget the details, but all of a sudden I was dealing with stuff on my computer that didn't want to be removed. I then removed the YouTube editor. But if there's nothing, then there's nothing.* About 32 trillion $ sit, untaxed, in offshore tax havens, while 'leaders' whine that they can't afford social spending!! * -
OKey. I misread your thread. I thought you wanted to convert nvc files....

No, he did a really terrible job of describing what he wanted to do. His first post is like this:
I want do stuff with Nero. Blah blah blah. Did I tell you I'm using Nero?
Yep, good old Nero. Doing stuff with Nero. blah blah blah blah
Still doing stuff with Nero. Nero nero nero. Gotta get me some Nero help. Blah blah blah
Almost forgot - I want to capture and edit YouTube videos. -
