  1. Hi all,

I'm having problems with AVS4You Video Editor; I've never had this problem before. You'll see in the disc menu I have frame-handles around the "Play" and other menu items that I cannot get rid of. I try to delete the handles but they still remain when I scroll back to that same menu item.

These handles negatively affect the finished product when burn a DVD disc from this project. It results in the framing being incorrect, and the text of the menu items being off-center from the click-able area in the final disc menu. I've ruined 5 discs because I haven't been able to fix the problem.

I've attached two screen shots. Notice the handles around "Play" and the other menu items. This is what is causing my problem.

  2. Someone may chime in on this, but few if any here use this software opting instead for better, free applications.

  3. I'm up for that. I'll have to plead ignorance - I am not aware of the open-source video editors. Which ones would you recommend? I am converting my old VHS to DVD and digital clips. I've already got the raw clips converted to digital files. I'd need a software package that can trim clips and make disc menus - then burn to DVD or Blu-Ray
