just curious, since i don't keep up with all the news. while browsing the usual suspects who sell all region players, i'm finding that nearly every price has doubled in the last few months and there are fewer choices. i have plenty of spares in my garage, but i just wondered what woiuld cause this. it kinda reminded me of what happens with guns when a democratic president is looming on the horizon. i would think that all region players would be pretty low on trump's hit list....,

It is more likely that it is becoming harder and harder to make new models region free. It is also rumored that much of the stock sold by these places is imported from Middle Eastern countries. Commerce in that region has experienced severe disruption.
