  1. Hi folks,

I have a problem with MKV files not Forwarding in Fast Mode ... here is what I do and I end up with "problem" MKV file ... may be someone can help ...

    1) I have a MP4 or MKV file that has a Low Volume Audio. So, I take the file and use XMedia Recode to Only Normalize (Boost up) the audio.

    2) I take the above MP4 or MKV file and use MKVToolnix and also add English Subtitles and I get my Final MKV file that has Normalized Audio, Subtitles and Original Video File.

    3) When I play back this Final MKV file in my Netgear EVA9100 Media Player ... I can only Fast Forward it at 1X ... can NOT go any faster, and if I try to go faster, it Stops.

    Q1: Why is that?

Q2: And sometimes even the file jumps back to the Beginning of the movie ... rather than Start from where I left it at. Why is that?

How can I fix these 2 problems!?!?

    Thanks,

    G!

Mux the MKV with these two options:

    --engage no_cue_duration
    --engage no_cue_relative_position

  3. Hi Vidd,

Thanks for your Help and the Links.

I really didn't know that MKVToolnix had all those options. I was just using it as throw my files in and get the output.

    Thanks again.

  4. Hi Vidd,

I tried muxing with the 2 options, same problem.

I checked couple of other my Original MKV files which I did not mess with the Audio or Remux with MKVToolnix ... and they Fast Forward (FF) & Replay just fine.

I found a work-around for my Problem MKV files that I had Re-Muxed ... changed them to .MP4 and I am back in business, FF at 50 miles an hour but with MP4 if I want to use Subtitles I have do an External SRT ... I guess that would be OK.

BUT, I wonder how do the Professionals MUX their Video & Audio to MKV and plays, FF and Re-starts from where the Movie is left and works just fine!!!

    > > > I would still be interested to know HOW to do MKV Muxing correctly, like the PROs.

    Thanks,

    G!

    Hi folks,

Now I remember why I LOVE to use MKV ... with MP4s External SRT or even IDX/SUB does not work. And when I tried to Merge SRT sub into MP4 using MKVtoMP4 program ... the output still does not play on my Netgear.

Q: Can anyone help me with my Issue of MKV not Forwarding Fast and Remembering where I have Stopped the file?

    Thanks,

    G!

  6. Containers MP4 subtitle SRT can post in subtitles TX3G. It is a handjob, there is no known programs to convert me from the attachment and fonts must be installed on your system Windows.
