Jitter on Avermedia C027 captures

Hi everyone.
Got an Avermedia Darkcrystal (C027) today and I'm trying to capture some 1080i footage from my STB. But the image starts to jitter a little (actualy a lot). I hope I'm using the right term.

Any ideia what's causing that?
It occurs on preview and playback, with VirtualDub, AmarecTV and the crappy Avermedia software.

I read something some where about this and the guy switched the card to another slot and it started working right, he had it in an x1 slot and moved it to an x16 slot.

I'm already on a x16 slot. I have a mATX board.
I'll move to another x16 slot to check. Be back in 5min.

Well... returned the card.
Now I'm on a hunt again.
Have my eye on a Colossus, but the Colossus 2 is out. But I won't be able to get it here anytime soon.
