Video is WMV + WMApro. I want to keep the WMV and convert the audio to regular WMA.
I tried Windows Media Encoder. It keeps trying to convert the video too, which will take hours!
ASFbin will copy the video source. But it will not allow me to convert or change the audio.
Is there an WMV editor that will allow direct copy of the video and convert the audio?

Try xmedia recode. It can copy the video. But not sure if it can do wma encoding.

Okey. xmedia recode can't copy the wmv video.
Hmm....Can you just encode the audio in windows media encoder? And then mux it to wmv with Windows Media Stream Editor (included in windows media encoder) -
videotovideo converter
drag in file, select WMV:
[on right hand panel]>Video codec>copy
[on right hand panel]>Audio codec>(select WMAv1 or WMAv2)
Right hand panel are drop down menus. -
I tried with both wmav1 and wmav2 codecs from ffmpeg. But the PS3 will not play and gives me an error. In the original file, the PS3 will play the video with no sound (wmapro).
As for the VideotoVideo, it will give me the "ERROR: At least one output file must be specified" when I click on the Convert button. Then the button becomes disabled. I cannot find the option to name an output file or use Save As.
