Hi there!
I recently bought a SONY DCR-TRV330 camcorder to save old Hi-8 and Video8 films to my computer by way of firewire and winDV. Recently, I haven't really let it cool down before staring another 2 hour tape (bad idea). I noticed that some of middle parts of my film have bad tracking and video dropouts. It would seem that this is a videohead problems. However, when I let the Sony camcorder rest, it seems that when I do it again, the problem goes away. I was under the impression that if there was a problem, it would be relatively consistent? Would it be possible the heat inside the camcorder is somehow influencing the playback problems as well? The problem I get is that video drops out, but I can hear the sound -- additionally, there is that black and white flickering. Thanks!
