I am trying to recover video footage off a micro SD card ejected mid record from a MOBiUS camera, which records in .MOV using the H.264 codec. There does not appear to be any file entry, and undelete sortware only shows a 0 byte file with a name consisting of weird characters, however the .MOV remains. I have already imaged the card to a file. I am unsure how to proceed.

Have you tried several undelete/recover software?

  3. photorec is good for recovering photos and many kinds of deleted files but I'm not sure if it works on a FAT32 FS like your microSD card probably is.
EaseUS Data Recovery is highly recommended, I saved a whole album of irreplaceable photos and few videos that mysteriously disappeared from my drive.

I used R-Studio. The issue is not that a file has been deleted, but has not has its fat32 entry entered fully yet, as the recording has not ended, the size is unknown and so the file entry is incomplete and of no size. but the H.264 data is on there somewhere
