Just purchased Terapin stand alone VCD. (They're now priced at $200.) Now looking for compatible portable DVD player with screen. Has any other Terapin user found a good portable DVD (W/ screen) unit. Thanks for your input.

I haven't priced one lately, but they seem to be really expensive for what you get. Why not spend a little more and get a laptop computer that you could use for other stuff also?

davec111, Here I am! the right person that you want to answer your question. I too bougt a terapin(not here yet)I am also going to buy a portable produt to watch movies for the long car trips with my son and wife from mp3playerstore.com they have three models that play mp3's and also vcds (not dvds) and they come with a 5.6in.screen. Ther are two different screens to choose from, and the prices are $159.00 and $199.00 the one for $159 says not to use in daylight (I emailed them to find out if what they mean is don't use it in direct sunlight). However I think the tv screen can only work with a lighter adapter(the player uses batteries or a lighter adapter). I'm a DJ and I'm going to convert my music to mp3s, the one I'm going to buy is the one made by napa (they says it uses sony mechanism) it also displays your mp3 files on the screen so you can see what songs are on there(I don't think I could remember all 150 songs on the disc). the prices seem really good and just to let you know the players usually go for over $75 on ebay. In closing I would like to say that I once saw a panasonic brand on ebay but researched it and couldn't find out anything using their website(its probably available overseas, I'm from the USA (AND PROUD OF IT)But if you are really just intrested in a portable dvd player try ebay and look for a shinco brand don't know anything about them but the prices I saw looked pretty cheap compared to the rca or audiovox.etc.. Good Luck and let me know how you make out. Oh buy the way how do you lik your terapin?Your Friend Ed P.S. sorry this was so long!!
