Convert from WAV to MP3

Hi there, I took the audio of a Glee episode into WAV, now I'm cutting the pieces I need with Audacity and then I have to convert them into MP3. Can I do the whole thing with Audacity only? Or I need another software? I'd like to get these song pieces without much quality loss.

Audacity is fine but there are many simpler wave cutting programs that will do the job just fine.
Convert the individual pieces at the end to mp3.

I'd like to get these song pieces without much quality loss.

I doubt the original was transferred to you as a wave, so are you sure you cannot simply use the original compressed format and cut it?

Yes, Audacity can do the cutting and exporting to MP3. You will need to install the LAME MP3 plug-ins. Please see Audacity website for the MP3 details.
