Hello guys,
I'm new to this newsgroup so I'm not sure if this has been answered before. Basically, I want to capture footage shot on a DigiBETA camera in 'widescreen' (16 x 9) and then turn it into a DVD.
I'm using a DigiBETA player and going out of the SVHS port into my SGI320. Does 16 x 9 conform to a 'standard' PAL (I'm in the UK) format, with the usual 'black bars' before being turned into an MPEG2 using something like TMPGEnc? Doea anyone have any experience with authoring DVDs shot on DigiBETA?
Any help or poiners would be most appreciated. Thanks.
Milton
