Hi, I had download some MKV Files and copied them to external hard drive.
but when playing those file on external hard drive with a bluray player or media player on computer,
some part of the video will become distorted. Why? the original file has no distortion problem.
I am using window xp. May I know whether something happen during the data transferring process?
Or may be the Kaspersky Virus software has something to do with it?
I have been using other computer all running with window xp and with different external hard drive,
there all have this problem. Anybody came across this problem? Thanks a lot for your reply.

The source file has no problem, only the copied one. Any software program to verify those copied file because i like to copy the file to external driver and play on a bluray player/external media player.
Thanks. -
Yes there are many programs that can perform a binary compare or generate an MD5 checksum. Windows even has a built in command line utility, fc.

May I ask if I use Teracopy to vertify the source file and the copied file and if the CRC check sum is the same, is it confirm that the copied file is free from
error? Thanks for reply.
