hardcode subtitles to video

i have a video where i need to ad subtitle at certain parts is there any free app out there that lets me do this

You can make subtitles with subtitle edit and then hardcode with vidcoder, avidemux, virtualdub, etc.

Or use a NLE/Advanced editor like sony moviestudio pro.
