This link tell of the difference in waveforms of the Dac and ADVC from video-guys.
Can someone tell me what it all means. If i will see any difference with a normal eye? Can it be corrected? If this chart was for the Dazzle, Instant DVD , or others, how would these software stand up.
I also noticed that Video Guys do not even sell the advc.

Looking at the video waveforms and vector scope, the ADVC has a bit lower chroma and luma levels. This should easily be correctable if there is a color saturation and brightness/contrast control setting/adjustment in hardware, otherwise you will have to compensate in software by adjusting the color saturation up a bit, and adjusting the contast up a bit. Without correction, the color will look weak, and the video a little "dim".
As for the frequency roll-off (4.5 MHz sweep), there is not much you can do. This is a feature of the filtering of the encoder (or perhaps the decoder) and is done in hardware. The only compensation that could correct this to a certain degree would be a sharpness control giving the higher-end frequencies a boost in level. Without correction, the video will look a bit soft.
