Problem after Install- MKVToolNix

Hi, I had MKVmerge (4yrs ago until last weekend) and love it this yrs did the upgrade and was better... Well my HDD die so end purchasing an SSD re-install Vista x64 all updates...etc

Now yesterday did DL my loving MKVToolNix from here and gMKVExtractGUI (as the -2 doesn't work with x64) even did also try to use instead (other option)- MKVcleaver_64... The Issue I have is; Windows is giving me an error after I try to open MKVToolNix and is closing MMG. Did some resarch into how to install MKVToolNix and did follow everything I even did DL .NET 2.0 Redistribute and Libmatroska.dll to see if does fix anything but no avail.... Basically I just give up (sadly) and this is my last attempt to install MKVToolNix... Also if MKVToolnix open (after error) and try to add a file it just hang trying to upload XY file but never end uploading the file per se...

Will anyone PLEASE !! be so kind and tell me or give me some instruction in regard installation or WTF I'm doing WRONG ?

I also try to re-install older version but still no avail same error message...

PS: for my needs MKVToolNix is a MUST !! I really needed...

Any help to solve my problem will be highly appreciated

Try a portable version. Just extract the files from the 7z and run mmg.
