how does the copy protection work on a copy of the copy protected tape?

im having trouble trying to generate a copy of a VHS tape i have that has copy protection on it.(either to another VHS, a DVD, or a file i can burn to DVD) what gets me is that the tape is a copy itself. how does the copy protection work on a copy of the copy protected tape? ive tried video capturing like Freecorder that records any video played by the computer cuz the video is on youtube.but its still copy protected and shuts off the recording. any ideas? or programs that might get around this thankx

you can often use a video stabilizer on the VCR output.
