	Not using VirtualDub.
If the voice and background were on separate tracks within the same audio stream, the audio could be opened using the likes of Audacity and each track processed.
If the voice and background are in the same track, it's not going to work.

 Myths about AVI

This section is dealing with some claims about the AVI format, mostly myths told by people for mainly two reasons:

 1. OGM Zealotry, meaning that some people say things like '2 audio streams in an AVI file is a hack' just to make up advantages of their beloved OGM. Those people usually know that this is bullshit, they just cannot admit it.

 2. knowing nothing about AVI like here.

AVI can only handle 1 or 2 audio streams

Totally wrong. A few people who think to write container comparisons still believe this, or even write such disinformation in order to make up advantages of OGM that do not exist, although even the original AVI file specification supports 256 streams (no matter how many of them are audio or video), and although AVI-Mux GUI has been able to create AVI files with multiple audio streams for years.
