VLC Snapshots

In VLC you can take snapshots from the video as it plays, but can anyone advise me where these snapshots are filed.
I've taken numerous snapshots lately but I cannot locate where they are filed.
Your advice would be most welcome. Thank you .

If you haven't used the VLC Preferences setup to specify a folder for snapshots, the default location would be the "Pictures" subfolder in your Documents folder.

If you want to specify a location for snapshots, use the "Tools" menu -> Preferences -> Video -> and specify a place on your computer.
