Hello,
I used the Matrox 2500 to capture, and Premiere to convert with the LSX Mpeg II encoder plug in. The resulting SVCD looks fine in a small window on my PC, but when I play it back on my Hitachi 53" RP the video is very shaky. It doesn't appear shaky on the PC, (maybe it's just so small I'm not seeing it.) My DVD player is from China and plays all formats. (DVD, DVD+RW, SVCD, VCD, MPEG II Raw Files, MP3, CD, CDR, CDRW, PictureCD). I've never had a quality problem with DVD's played on the machine, and I've also played some raw MPEG II that looked fine. Am I doing something wrong in the conversion process? I've tried using the motion estimator at it's highest setting (maybe that's the problem). I am converting from 720x480 DVCAM to the 480x480 SVCD format.
