    Since some time I have been having this issue with the DVD Player that it just keeps restarting every 5-6 seconds. Regardless of media, DVD or USB. Appreciate any help from all. Philips website does not list any firmware to download/upgrade. And anyways the DVD player does not seem to stayed powered on for that long. Barely starts, comes to home menu, and powers off in 5 secs.

    The internal power supply circuitry is likely dying.
    For the nth time, with the possible exception of certain Intel processors, I don't have/ever owned anything whose name starts with "i".
