  1. Hi I want to add subtitles to a tv series , the files is an MKV 1080p , ive tries from subscene and WinRAR the file and added the srt to the file.
    I play the file through a cyclone primus hard drive media player.
    when I play an episode no subs are ther??

  2. Most standalone media players don't play SRT files muxed into the MKV. Most require the SRT file be named the same as the media file, except for the extension:

    VideoFilename.MKV
    VideoFilename.SRT

    And of course, some media players can't play SRT subs at all.

  4. Please excuse my ignorance and lack of knowledge can you please explain further how I get the subs to work on playback?

    It supports srt correct, but that doesn't mean it necessarily supports subtitles muxed within a mkv file. Maybe it does and if so make sure subtitles are turned in in the units preferences or set up. Many media player show subtitles by the convention as outlined in jagabo's post ie separate srt file with the same name as the video file.
