Whenever I use textsub filter only (and the cropping within), the target birate is achieved after two passes and nothing disappeares during the first pass, the final quality is great. BUT when I use this chain: nulltransform-resize (to resolution multiple of 16, no mistake)-textsub, the target bitrate (say 2000) dissapeares from its 1st pass settings!. It looks like this: after the first pass is finished and I check the settings again before the second pass, the first pass target bitrate box is empty (but the .pass file is there). Then if I try to run the 2nd pass nevertheless, the final avi has a bitrate of 400 instead of 2000 and it looks awful. Why is this happening, help!
