When I got Blu-ray player shortly after HD-DVD was canned, I had a top 10 must-get BD movies to find. They were mostly my favorites. A few was already out at the tine I got the player. Some like Star Wars came along later. Right now of the original top 10 wanted BD movies, I still haven't seen one released yet (and another being dumb without subtitle for the deaf)

Disney's Black Hole. In the time it's been on my list, 2 actors in the movie has passed away (crazy scientist and cowardly reporter). Black Hole was seen in a recent movie Tron Legacy.

So where is BD version of the Black Hole? Hmmm...

The problem BD I have is Time Bandits. I had both USA version and Canadian version. USA version had no subtitle for the deaf, and Canadian version had only French subtitle. The older DVD version did have English subtitle so there was no reason to exclude it :P I could probably rip the DVD version for subtitle, BD version for video, and burn to BD with subtitle. I'd need a BD burner, those aren't cheap starting at $70 for bare drive with no software and over $100 for decent package. pah too much just to get subtitle and 1080i video in one. My BD player doesn't stream from USB (cheap player), my TV doesn't have USB or anything, and my laptop with HDMI only works at 720 for some reason. Garbled video if I tried 1080i.

  2. The remake of The Black Hole should come out in 2016. The best we can hope for may be that they'll release the original on Blu-ray as a tie-in. That's just my speculation for now.

For 70.00 buy a used wdtv media player - that is if your bluray player can't handle h264 - can it? if so just rip the bd and use the dvd subtitle and make your h264 mp4 or mkv that way.

I have to get Indiana Jones (thanks Yoda) and The one I want to be released the most on BluRay is Babylon 5!!!

But yep, the original The Black Hole would be killer on BluRay!!

There are probably so many others it would take months to think and list them all!!!

Nope - my android phone. I was using it with tapatalk and I still haven't figured out how to disable the predictive spelling feature. I have to tell it "add to my dictionary" to use a word it doesn't know.

When typing in this forum that's like every other word since it's all tech talk. Also member names aren't real words most of the time so if I don't pay attention while typing on the phone it will pick what it thinks what I meant to type.

I really should use my tablet more for forum typing when I'm not on the computer. It doesn't have the predictive feature. Whatever you type it puts down.
