    Hi guys!

I am a newbie here and to encoding field as well.

I tried to encode a DVD5 to 400MB MP4. But whenever the process reaches 4%, processing rate (FPS) goes down. It shows around 50FPS when the conversion starts and then it goes down to 4FPS once it reaches 4% of the encoding. And it doesn't go further. Just stuck at 4% and the remaining time goes higher.

I have encoded a lot of movies in the same machine, with the same apps installed. But this time I am lost.

I even tried with MKV, AVI 400MB, but no luck. It happens the same.

I have installed MeGUI 2356, AviSynth_130114, KLite Codec Pack 9.9.5 (Full) in my PC.

Yesterday I installed some additional filters like asharp.dll, aWarpSharp.dll, LimitedSharpenFaster.avsi, mt_masktool.dll, RemoveGrain.dll. But I didn't use those for this encoding.

Can anyone help me to get rid of this?

Getting rid of this crap would be my first suggestion.

I'd yank the k-lite pack too but if was encoding OK before with it installed it's not the problem probably.

If those dll's are the only change you're made, yank them and try again. The fact you didn't use them may not matter. They may be conflicting with the k-lite codecs.

Which is one good reason to yank all those codec packs anyway. They can and do cause conflicts. And they're unnecessary.

Thank you for the response guys.

I removed those newly installed filters.

Don't I need any codes for encoding?

Waiting for your reply to remove K-Lite.
