Is there a way to make my Pioneer AVIC-X920BT region free DVD?

    Thank you all so much!

This is an in-dash car unit. Specialty players, which includes portables, car players, home theater systems, and combo units (ie. DVD/VCR, DVD/TV) can almost never be unlocked.

A few in-dash players actually don't check DVD regions although they claim to do so. Have you tried a region 2-6 DVD just to see what happens? Also note that some DVD players that do check regions on DVDs do not have a problem with PAL DVD playback if it's region free, so you can potentially rip DVDs and reburn them (the ripping makes them region free) to deal with that.

    Thanks Jman98.
It reads original Euro (BBC) DVDs and complains about region.
It reads home grown US DVDs and plays them fine.

Our DVD collection is half US, half Euro, so... Arrrrrrh! Can anyone help?
