AEG 4550 Region Hack

I recently (Oct 2011) bought this DVD player (AEG 4550) in Germany, but most of our DVD's are from the States. I couldn't find it listed in the DVD Hacks list alas. Has anyone been able to unlock this one? If so, can you post the hack? Thanks!

Good luck with your request, but the odds are against you. Usually if you can't find a hack, one doesn't exist. That is why you need to be sure BEFORE you buy a player that you can unlock it.

I want to warn you about one thing as you are new here. Requests like your sometimes get responses from people who join our forums simply to post hacks that they claim work. I really have my doubts about these posters as I find it very odd that someone just conveniently happens to know a working hack when nobody else has ever posted one for the model. Apply any hacks that get posted here at your own risk and we are not responsible if some new member posts a hack that doesn't work or destroys your player.

Thanks jman98. I figured there probably wasn't one as google failed me pretty badly. But there was always hope. And, it only cost 30 euros, and we have laptops that can work if needed. Cheers!
