I was wondering if it is possible to rip an image of a dvd like you would a cd with something like blind read/blind write or clone cd? i would like to keep the surround sound channels, extras and menu. I would be burning the image back to a dvd-r disc. THanks for your help.

Ok Scotsman,
The answer is both yes and no. NO you cannot rip a true 1:1 copy as you would an audio cd because of copyright protection limitations on both the dvd you are ripping and limitations of the dvd media you are burning to. However... YES you can rip and burn a dvd while keeping all your menus and extras etc... There are just a few more steps to it. I suggest you go to the "dvd rip" portion of the site and read the dvd copy tuturials which are very helpful ans pretty much straight forward. All the tools you will need can be found right here in the "tools" section. If you need any help feel free to post or pm me. This site has a wealth of very smart and helpful members to guide you through just about anything.
Good Luck
