when I'm using dvd2avi I have this film 99% what is this?

use forced film in dvd2avi and the NTSC FILM template in tmpgenc....
just tells u the video source is of type FILM, progressive -
and that what difference make,I am happy with the vcd quality but I really don't know what this 99% film means,something like 99% dvd picture quality??? I don't know...

it refers to how the video(fps) is stored on the dvd. quite simply your source breaks down like this:
99% film (23.976fps + pulldown = 29.97fps)
1% ntsc (29.97fps)
i'd guess the 1% ntsc is a distributor or studio opening sequence
