"90 minutes" means NOTHING.....especially if the 90 minute file is not MPEG2 and not authored to DVD specifications.

    what type of file?
a dvd folder/files will have a 'layer break' , a point where the files can be seperated and burned to the to layers

a 6gb mpeg, mp4, mkv etc.. has no layer break and must be converted to dvd format first

you can't fit 6gb of data onto a 4gb layer

this is all just a quick explanation,
becuse you haven't given us enough info

file run time lenght means very little,
unless we know file type, vidro bitrate, file codec, h264, divix , mpeg2, mkv etc..
