  1. I'm trying to create a service video for my work place. I'm drafting up a script and will be shooting some footage on a camcorder. I'm completely new to this and 99% of all the terms used in these posts are unfamiliar to me. I have a Celeron 500 Mhz with USB, I've found a USB video capture device on the web at: http://www.dlink.com.au/retail/multi/dsbv100.htm
Is this a good style of device, or should I go with something that plugs into my motherboard? I'd prefer just to plug it into my USB port.

Anyway, I'm sure these capture cards come with instructions on how to use them, but before I get into them, is it simply a matter of turning on your camcorder to playback and plugging it into a Capture Card and let it run?

    Please advise.
