When I opened DVD Flick on my Win 7 PC i got this message . It works fine on my vista. Has anyone seen this? It is the latest version and is the same version as on my vista
I found this reference to a new version but the new version is the one I have and DVD Flick is freeware

DVDflick is a handy little program that is notoriously buggy, and the bugs are not consistent.
There is no "license" since it is freeware/shareware. Something probably went wrong during installation. You could try uninstalling and trying again, but that probably won't help. Something is seriously hosed.
While DVDflick was not officially supported much beyond Windows XP and has been effectively abandoned by its developer for several years, it does indeed work with Vista and Windows 7. I am currently running it on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit laptops made by Samsung, Lenovo and Gateway: it works on all of them. It does occasionally hang during the last few seconds of authoring the DVD files, a common (and really annoying) bug which can usually be solved by re-arranging the order of video clips or changing the index pics used for the DVD menu, then running the project a second time.
If you can't get DVDflick to work on your system, and don't want to spend your life figuring out why it doesn't, try AVStoDVD instead: a similar but more complex app still supported by its developer (with several user threads here on VideoHelp). -

Always try google the error you receive, http://www.google.com/search?q="you+do+not+have+an+appropriate+license+t o+use+this+functionality"&oq="you+don+not+have+an+ appropriate+license+to+use+this+functionality"
It seems to be an activex or dll issue that happens in some applications for some users. -

I have been using DVDFlick on Win7 Home Prem x64 for at least a year and have not had any problems. I certainly don't consider that a "miracle". I agree with Baldrick that using Google to track down error info is usually helpful. Obviously, individual system configurations play a role in application problems. Glad to see David Banner has a "solution" for the time being.

I never said it won't work on Win7...I have two points to make.
1) Your story about DVDFlick working previously, perfectly and often on Win7 changed with every one of YOUR posts.
2) You are crying about FREE software, that wasn't all that great to begin with, that hasn't been updated since before Win7 was released.
I have DVDFlick installed on this computer. The few times that I have needed to use it.....every time I open it...a partial install of Roxio EZCD that I have on my computer tries to install the rest of the way(I only have the CD label maker portion of EZCD installed - and I rarely use that anymore either).
I love FREE software...I just don't lie about it's previous greatness just to get someone to answer my question about it. -
Did it on my vista. Finished now got it burned thanks orsetto
