  1. I am looking at reducing 720p movies to fit on a single sided dvd with the max bitrate possible. I realize that the bitrate will vary based on length of the movie. I am trying to have each finished dvd be as close to the max size of the disc as possible.

Will imovie allow this, or should I look at a different solution. I know that toast works with quantization, not something I am really familar with, but just trying to find something that will work. Time to burn is not an issue for what I am doing.

    Thanks in advance...

Moving you to our mac section.

Do you want a standard dvd-video? Or just one big data video file on the dvd?

Yes, so it would also NOT be 720p anymore, as standard DVD-video only supports SD resolutions (480NTSC/576PAL, p or i).

If you have iMovie, you should also have iDVD. Use that, or Toast. Both should work.
