  1. A friend of mine gave me her old television. It's a small panasonic, and it used to work fine until 2 weeks ago. Since then, the sound stopped working. First she thought it was the cable (analog) but her new tv plays just fine. I tried plugging it it my amp => nothing, so it's not the intern speakers if i'm correct.
So, the question is ; does anyone have an idea on what the cause might be, and/or what to do about it.
I have no manual, and no remote control.

    Thanks alot!

You mighty try a universal remote that can be set for the tv. Then try the tv's menu settings to see something was turned off. Otherwise, you're up the creek. Either that, or the set is busted.

  3. Thank you for commenting

The model or year of the television is nowhere to be found (yet). I've opened the tele yesterday, and everything seems to be connected right, no blown fuses,.. But then again, i know very little of electronics. And what do you mean what am i trying to play trough the set? I'm just playing the television programs on cable, if that is what you mean. No DVD, no playstation,...

I'll see if i can get a remote control to work. She said she has tried it a few times and it didn't work. But there must be a manual on how to do this right on the internet. I'll let you know if it worked
