Hi,
I am new to this.Recently got Panasonic Full HD L32E3D.I downloaded an HD movie from yify-torrents.
It says:
The.Grey.2011.1080p.BluRay.x264.x264.YIFY.mp4
Codec says AVC1.
I have a standard dvd player, Sony DVP SR750H and when I try to play this file it says unsupported file format. The total size is only 1.5GB.
So do you need a blu-ray player to play full HD resolution that supports codecs like avc1 and mp4 format?I mean certain files are also .mkv.So in general do you need a blu-ray player to play the HD resolution on the tv?
I tried directly plugging my USB into the tv, and it played, but not properly.I got blotches and irregularity, like some patch freezed for a fraction of second, while the rest of the frame continued to play. All throughout. And my Panasonic L32E3D doesn't give an option to play subtitles. They are named the same, the movie file and the subs.
