  1. Hello

have anyone try to burn VCD or SVCDs with a DVDburner to a DVDr cd and play it on Pioneer DV-444 player? (i mean by using the guides on this site)

    Will it work or not?

I need to now before i buy a DVDburner.

USiT, just go ahead and get one of the DVD burners for you computer (some places are selling the Pioneer A03 unit for 350 bucks!). They are a helluva lotta fun to discover how to make dvd's. And while all your friends are saying, "Look, I got my VCD to run on my Apex!", you'll be saying "That's cool, but I can make dvd's!"

  8. Try to change the "TV Screen" in the Setup, even to something you don't expect to work.
The manual on this point is very fuzzy.
On mine (PAL european) it works with 16:9.
