  1. Well i have a small problem. I made a test VCD with a music video from Kazaa and it worked fine. But i downloaded another video, it plays fine as an MPG file, but when burned as VCD, it just skipped. So i used TMPGENC and encoded it to PAL Format and burned it. It plays ok now in my DVD player but it doesnt have color. I tried changing from NTSC to PAL on my dvd player, it didnt make a difference. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks

  2. Hi buddy.

first play it in PC to make sure it's VCD's problem, then try to convert it with TMPGEnc to NTSC and then before you burn it make sure the encoded MPEG file is okay , then burn it

    with best regards.

  3. Well i had a chance to run a few test's. A VCD that i burned plays fine on my mom and dad's Sony DVD player, But on my Philips DVD player, it will play the first track just fine, then the 2nd track has no color. Its kind of odd. Im not sure why though. What sucks even more is that i would just use the Sony DVD player for my VCD's, but the sony will only read CD-RW Media, and that really really sucks. Thanks for the reply, im trying that idea as we speak.

  5. Ive tried enabling CD-i, disabling CD-i, enabling and disabling the Compliant CD, and still no luck. Ive tried at least 20 burns on one cd-rw disk and only 3 of have worked ;\.

  6. Also, my dvd player is a Philips DVD-751. I read under the "DVD Players" forum that people have experienced this black and white problem. It does play some VCD's fine without a problem, but others still stay as black and white.
