    Hi Everyone,

Strangest thing. I pulled in multiple VOB files to MPEG StreamClip. when I scrub forward I get one video and when I scrub backwards I get another. If I play the VOB files individually I don't see all the content I want. Only when I pull it in as multiple files and only when I scrub back and forth. When I tried converting to an MOV I only get the forward video. Any way to split them up and get it all?

    Thanks!

Is it multiangle? Use mediainfo to find out.
If so, use an mpeg ps demultiplexer to extract the streams. Imago, tmpgenc, manzanita, etc.

    Hi Scott,

I used Mediainfo and it says it's only one file. The VOBs are single files and when I transfer to MOV it's one file (It transfers the other file in there unfortunately instead of the one I want). Part of the problem is the 2nd VOB file has bad sectors in it. I cant pull it in to view the VOB I want at all without pulling in multiple files with it for some reason. The section I want most is prob in one of those.

Still, when it's all sitting in StreamClip before a transfer, I can see the file, but only after a few random clicks on the timeline and then scrub backwards. Then the file will play forward only once. If I click on the time line again, it defaults to the 1st VOB file.

    That's not what I said.

Multiangle VOBs are still single files.
I suggested mediainfo so you could see if that single file has multiple STREAMS.

The bit you are doing with Mpegstreamclip is weird (and not normal for mpegstreamclip). Depends on what steps you are taking.

The Mediainfo said it's not multiple streams. I worked around it and got what I needed through trial and error. It was definitely a weird bit.

    Thanks for your help.

We could have helped further or more quickly if you had posted the mediainfo text and itemized the steps when using mpegstreamclip. Plus it helps other newbies in the future who may have the same/similar problem...

Glad you got it worked out, though. How so?
