  1. Hi all. Does anybody know of a program that I could use for putting a video onto a DVD?

For instance. I have just created a video AVI file which is 2 hours = 25Gb

What I am after is a program where I can import the video and some kind of slider switch where I can drag it say, to the left to make the video file smaller so it will fit on a DVD but also be the biggest file I can get on a DVD so it should be the best quality??

IE. if I try to put the above video onto a 8.5 DVD as a DVD file, it is just a little to big for it so I cannot do it.
I then try to do it as an MPEG1 file and this comes out as a 300Mb file

So has anybody got any ideas on anything that will do this sort of thing?

    Many thanks.

  2. You could use DVDStyler. However, you would not need a slider as it will automatic adjust the bitrate in order to fill the DVD ie best quality

avstodvd is another. It can select single or dual layer and maximize the bitrate for you. Or you can fix the amount on it if you want to make complex menus or add things to it or add data folders to it that are for storage and not the video.

Fyi avstodvd is freeware. Also please use imgburn to burn the disc and use good blanks like taiyo yuden or verbatim (but not the life series).
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
