Cisco has announced that they have implemented, without the owners knowledge, monitoring and filtering of porn and possibly downloading sites on certain of their routers. This sounds to me like a kissing cousin of DRM to me.

Obviously nervous about the possible backlash, they have supplied a way to roll-back the firmware update, see link at the bottom of the article. They are testing the water, its up to us to use a big hammer on their financial foot to send a painful message. No more Cisco/Linksys products for me, and I am sending them an e-mail to that effect.

That's very scary, here's a piece from the link ..............
The terms forbid using the service "for obscene, pornographic, or offensive purposes" — though these are not defined, and it isn't clear how you would use router configuration software for obscene purposes.
Offensive purposes is the catch all that could mean anything.
We don't like your politics....your religion.....your whatever as its offensive.
Make your own decsion.
