EDIT: That's a clean link. The reason it looks weird is because it's on a Sony(SCS) internal server. Only Vegas owners get these notices of sales, but anyone can us them.

They must be coming out with a new version soon.

They come out with new versions in November.

You can buy in to the pro version at a discount, then upgrades are like $139. Once you take that initial hit on the frontend, it's easy sailing, no surprise extras.

It's not like Adobe, there's no "suite". You get it all-in-one.

And thank goodness there's no Apple version. So you NEVER have to deal with Apple users! That's worth the price right there.

I don't recommend the pro version to anyone that's not interested in compositing, motion graphics, or animations. None of the extra tools are available in any of the "Studio" line, so you wouldn't even know the difference using pro.

It's still a pretty big hit to upgrade from Vegas Movie Studio. I sure like that program. Doesn't look like I will really need to upgrade just yet. Not experienced enough to do compositing, motion graphics, or animations. Although I have learned key framing. Someday I will be up to your speed. (I hope)
