    according to orsseto 7750 is not very good for restoration especially for consumer tapes that most of the guys here use. I will buy one if it is in the 30-40 eur range ( wishful thinking ).

    Why would anyone want one? Sure brings back good memories when i was a Tape Op....Three 12 hour shifts ....4 days off a week!

    I actually have one that I use solely for forwarding and rewinding tapes! It's in pristine condition, only ~ 100 hours use when I found it, but as others have said, it's not the best deck for playback unless your source happens to be SVHS SP commercial tapes in which case it's still at best competitive with other options out there.

    What it does do well, however is,
    1. Rewind and forward tapes reliably
    2. Look incredible sitting in an AV rack
