The spec hasn't changed. Players that advertise 3d capability should ALL be able to play ALL movies that follow the 3dbd spec. If they don't, it the fault of the player firmware, or of a badly-authored movie.

What models have you tried? Did you try those discs in store copies of those same models, to make sure it was't a fluke with your individual player?

You're still NOT clear on your playback chain:

    1. What EXACT models of BD3D players?
    2. What kind of connecting cable?
    3. What EXACT model of 3DTV?
    4. What is the order/layout of the connection?
    5. Do you specifically have "BD3D" discs, or some other kind of "3D"-ish disc (e.g. Anaglyph, Field-sequential, etc)?

I haven't heard of anyone else having trouble with these (or any other new) titles...

  5. Yeah, three different model from different manufacturers refusing to play a couple new movies is highly unlikely, assuming the discs are okay...

Are you connecting directly to the TV or routing through a receiver? Are you using quality *high-speed* HDMI cables? Have you tried a different HDMI port on the TV?
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

If the receiver is too old to support 3d, change the wiring layout to go direct from bd player to tv, then to receiver.

  8. Any Blu-ray player will need firmware updates to play the latest releases. The player will need an internet connection.
