  1. Hello,
I have 2 audio music tracks I want to have remastered. They are demos but sound quite good, so not a complete mess or something. I just want that they sound a bit more clear and powerfull.

So does anyone know someone/ a company which could remaster those 2 tracks for me for my own private use?

I'm not really into editing/remastering this myself. I edit a lot of video files and spend enough time with editing and I just don't want to spend time with trying to remaster this with all EQ or other filters from Adobe Audition.

I don't care if it costs something, I just want to have those tracks remastered so I can put them on my compilation
I want to play at a private family home party next weekend (It's my brothers farewell).

    all help is appreciated

    thanks guys
    cheers

Post the audio here, and I'll do it. Or PM me to e-mail it.

Here's a sample of a poor TV recording with a remaster:

Note the "Wall Of Sound" with compression, and dramatic improvement. It's in your face.

    Sounds good.
I've got programs such Adobe Audition CS5.5.

I was wondering what program you used for that and what settings?

Ableton. I used the mastering suite and a kneeless opto compressor. You have to do it by ear, there's no automation or magic bullet.

I have no idea what your recording sounds like so I can't say much more about it.

On that sample, first thing I did was expand the dynamic range, and give it air. Then EQ'd to my liking, flattened the peaks, set the gain, and that's about it.

That was just a minor touchup to an already mastered piece, but if you just increase the volume, you'll get this:

EDIT: Hey man, I'm gonna be tied up for a few days. Here's the original. Look at the wave forms and play around, see what you can do. Peace Out.

UPDATE: I deleted the samples because I put some below.

Take a listen to this first pass and give me some feedback.

I just now checked out the two demos, and yes they are very good quality. The band is good too.

  7. Discmakers has been my go-to for about 10 yrs and i have no complaints at all. The pricing is right and they are very, very reliable. I suggest if you want some professional mastering to look them up. They also give great deals for artists who want to expand and release their own music on their own designed cd's and such.
