Hi!
I purchased a Sony DCR TRV17,( thats'cool.)
Now how do I do it?
Hmmm? Went to store , bought Dazzle Dm4100
(advice from store clerk)
Well guess what it doesn't have a ilink hook up.
So I took it back.
Exchanged for a PyroDigital Video capture card.
kool I thought.
So now card 's installed, software called Video Studio 5 w/mpeg2
So I capture in a 15 sec clip. 80MB
What???? I can't send this to 56k dial ups.
Boooooo ;-((
So I installed the MediaStudio Pro 6.0 VE w/MPEG2
Well this is a lil better, but same 15 sec clip is 1.18MB
But how do I get it to be even smaller yet?
Don't understand half these numbers, or even what they mean.
Now I can't be the only one trying to figure this out.
Anyone got HELP???
Another program suggestion, anything?
At this point I wish I never bought this camcorder.
There I feel better now getting that off my chest, But really I do need some help.

to send over a 56k modem you might try divx you can find it at divx.com, you must however expect to lose some quality if you want it small enough to send over your connection. Some tricks to decrease the size of your files is to reduces your image size(320x240 should be ok) reduce frames per seconds(fps) you can go as low as 20 fps without movement getting too choppy. Hope this helps.
