  1. I'm using a PC ad my camera is a Panasonic HDC-TM80

The videos are 1080i and recorded in MPEG-TS format

My video is over 600MB and it's only 5 minutes long

When I watch it, it's slowed down, horribly quality, and the sound is not slowed down so obviously it's out of sync.
On this issue, I read that because of the 1080i resolution and the high kbps most computers simply can't handle the video.

So... I tried converting it using SUPER. it's my first time learning about this, so I tried to get some advice from other people who were uploading HD videos, they were helpful and one said to convert using these settings, so I did:

    -Convert to mp4
    -1920x1080 resolution
    -8000Kbps bit rate (8mb)
    -30 fps (frames per second)

-Audio set to 128kbps and 48Hz
(but I lowered the audio kbps to 50 something instead)

    -deinterlaced it

    -used h.264 encoding

After letting it encode for several hours, it finished and when I watched it it looked WORSE lol.. oh god I'm going nuts!

SO THEN.. I spent a few hours reading about all the settings on my camcorder and what they mean, and found the lowest settings to record in and I made a 5 minute test video.

With this NEW test video that is HALF the size of the first video that I was trying to encode because of the new lower settings.

so I tried to encode this new, smaller video with all the same settings and it still came out like a total mess. out of sync audio, jerky, insanely pixelated..

I have been spending every waking hour reading and trying to find help for the past 3 days.

I know once I get this figured out everything will be smooth sailing..

Right now I'm worried that I spent all that money on a 1080i FULL HD cam, when all I needed is a 720p because those file sizes are small enough to deal with, I think. I'm not even sure about that.

    Search Comp PM
fill in the computer specs in your profile. most recent dual/quad core computers have no problem with high bitrate 1080 video.

start task manager and play a video. see what % cpu is being used.
